We came to this campground because it is a Coast to Coast park. Check in was OK although the lady wasn't friendly and didn't go out of her way to help us. The site was OK, we had one of the better sites. We chose a site on a row that is reserved for camping three days or less. Many of the interior roads were pretty badly washed out. These sites were fairly level and had grass, although one site was standing in water after it rained. The majority of the full hook sites are rocky and very unlevel. Many sites seem to be permanent sites. The pond is catch and release only, which is OK. We paid for an extra night so we could enjoy the pool on Sunday afternoon. The pool was locked and had a closed sign. Would love to have known this in advance. The office is also closed on Sunday. The sites without sewer are in a valley that has lots of grass. These sites are level and very large. It had several campers there. I was not very impressed with the bathrooms. I took my grandson while we were packing up. It wasn't pleasant - bugs everywhere and no air except for a box fan. Luckily we don't use the campground bathrooms.

Very small quiet campground. No swimming in the lake might deter some people. We stayed a week just to have a quiet relaxing week. We tried fishing and NEVER even had a bite! The sites are on a bit of a slope, but we never really had a problem. We would definitely go back for some relaxation. Great golf course and lots of walking trails.

This is a wonderful spot if all you want to do is relax and shop. There wasn't much to do here. There is a lake, but because of rainy conditions we weren't able to fish. We will definitely return.

We came back to this park after a year because my husband believed he had found the perfect site. After setting up and looking around I had to agree!! This site was perfect. We had a wonderful view from our back window. We could sit outside facing the water. Some trees had been cut down making the access road through the campground easier to maneuver.

This is a wonderful quiet little state park. Not many sites, so it can't ever be too busy! We didn't do much but fish and relax. Isn't that what vacations are for?

The sites were average size. It appeared to be a well kept park. We will definitely return. It rained on us all weekend, but it was still nice. We could hear the interstate noise, but it wasn't terrible. The only negative we saw were the roads. They were not paved and had lots of holes. (888) 228-4040

Sites were very small. You can choose your own site, but we didn't know the park. Many sites are very unlevel. The nicest sites didn't have sewer. They had lots of activities going on. The pool was nice and not crowded. We will go back.

Sites were nice and everything ran smoothly. We had a super nice weekend. The first campground wasn't noisy at all. We were able to drive the golf cart around to see birds and deer. It was a super cool weekend temperature wise. It was cool every day we were visiting. Great place for camping.

This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach State Park. There are quite a variety of sizes of sites in the campground. Some sites were huge and some were very small. We were fortunate to get our site so close to a holiday. Our site was not huge but not tiny either. The site behind us was huge but their fire ring was almost up against our camper. We had to make sure our camper wasn't in danger. There is only one dump station for this huge campground. There are more sites without sewer than with sewer. There definitely are lots of tents here. We did see several tents on full hookup sites. The workers were always extremely pleasant everywhere we went. The beach was great and very close. The roads are paved and trees are abundant. We didn't see any road that was hard to maneuver in this campground. Some sites would be hard to get into because of trees. We have definitely seen state parks with lots more tighter squeezes on the roads. We will go back but will be much more selective about a site.

This campground is listed as a Coast to Coast campground. Upon arriving, we found that it is a huge permanent site "trailer park". The ten daily rental sites are in a gravel parking lot. We did have sewer, water, and 30 amp service, but we were unable to put out our awning or chairs, because there is only room for six campers in a line end to end. There is no room to put out awning because other campers must drive within inches of your camper to exit the parking lot which is where your camper is located. If someone is camping in front of you and you need to hook up your tow vehicle, you are out of luck unless they move their camper first. We will never return here! It is shocking that this is a Coast to Coast campground.

We camped in the Live Oaks section of the campground. We didn't know the two campground were so far from each other. Our site was huge, but covered with bugs, ticks, spiders and mosquitoes. We were unable to be outside for more than five minutes at a time. It would have been nice to know in advance that we were a mile from the beach. Our golf cart was useless. The bathrooms at this site were brand new but without a/c.

Upon arriving, we were pleasantly surprised to find nice paved sites with plenty of shade. The majority of sites were fairly large. We did see a couple of very small sites. More than half of the guests were in motorhomes. Many of the guests were over 60, but that meant there weren't many kids. Everyone was nice and friendly. Bathrooms and laundry rooms looked clean and up to date. The pool is huge. We were able to go everyday and relax almost alone. This wouldn't be the place for a family with teens to visit because there isn't much on site for them. It is a quick walk to Fuddruckers, and there is a walkway to Barefoot Landing (large enough for a golf cart). We definitely enjoyed the quiet and will definitely be back.

This is a nice little state park. The only negative we saw was that several trees hinder navigation through the park. We had a nice quiet weekend. We will go back for fishing during cooler weather.

We had a Super nice site. It was large and had plenty of space between campers. We fished, shopped, and saw alligators. We had a super weekend. We would definitely recommend this campground. This was our second trip to this campground.

Why did we wait so long to go here?! We were VERY pleased with Huntington Beach. We have already made more reservations. This will definitely be our favorite beach campground. We hope no one makes reservations besides us!!!

This campground has it lots. Nice campsites, fishing, boating, and quiet campground are appealing. We enjoyed our weekend although we didn't catch anything while fishing. We have made reservations to return.

Campground was very nice. We had a huge site. The only negative was there was nothing to do except fish in the river. If you had a horse, you had lots of places to ride. There were also places to keep horses. We drove into Bishopville, nothing there. We ate lunch on Sunday in Lydia at Mr. B's, it was a super lunch, not far from the campground.

We had a very nice quiet weekend. We went on a sales tour. They were very nice to us and not pushy. We have since joined Coast to Coast and will definitely be back visiting this campground. They have a pond, pool, hot tub, club house, and lots of activities for members.

We always enjoy going to Ocean Lakes. Most sites are large and you are able to reserve by site. Security is always visible. You are also close to everything!

The campground was OK. It was fairly quiet except for barking dogs on some sites which is not the fault of the campground. This location is close to everything in Charleston. The only negative we found was about the pool. We went there on Saturday, but there weren't enough chairs. Several people were standing waiting on chairs. Of course, people had "saved" chairs and were never there. The Wi-Fi wasn't strong enough to support a busy campground, but at least it was free.

We selected this campground based on Internet research, a little scary. What a pleasure to discover that it is a really nice place! The management has been super. The ENTIRE place is clean and orderly! A very nice store is maintained. Each site has a concrete patio with a picnic table. Almost every site has shade trees. We are close to lots and still a little secluded. We will definitely be back.

This campground is fine as a base. Sites are small but clean. Each site has a concrete pad. Sites are not level as advertised. We would stay here again, but it is not a place to hang out. The Wi-fi is nice. The location is good. It is close to everything.

This campground served our needs as we used it as our base camp. The sites are very small. It rained one day, and the tent area was standing in water a day later. Wi-fi from our site. We would return to use it as a base.

We really enjoy this park. We have been there several times. It is a very busy place. There are lots of golf carts. We stored our TT there during the winter. That was a nice plus to pull up and have your TT waiting for you on site. It is still our favorite at the beach. It is close to everything, and you really don't have to leave.

This was a nice clean KOA. It was close to Ocean Isle. There was plenty of shopping nearby. We will definitely go back again. We will be visiting again during the July 4th week.

This was a nice place to use as a base camp. We got to select our site before renting. There is a river to tube. It was very busy. The sites were very small. We were close to everything in Cherokee. The sites were pretty muddy. Management seemed nice.

We really enjoy this beautiful campground. We spent an entire week during the 4th of July. We were unhappy that we had to pay extra fees for a second car. There is plenty of room on each site to park several cars. We also did not like having to pay extra for the third and fourth adult in the party. We haven't been back since then. They were expanding and it will be very busy when the new section opens. Prices have also risen again.

We have visited this campground several times. It has a super view if you get one of the sites on the lake. We stayed on a very un-level site. It was so un-level that we couldn't put a tent on our site. Management has always been very nice. Great bathroom/shower room. The only negative is the lack of trees!

We stayed here because it was the only place we could get at the beach at such a late date. We were not impressed with the campground at all. We have not been back since. It was over priced! We rented a golf cart and didn't even get a full 24 hours. Most campground give you a 24 hour period for your rental. The beach was nice. The pier was nice. It was close to many things, but we just didn't like it! Too outdated and very small sites are probably the main reasons we weren't satisfied.

We had a pleasant visit while staying here. It was clean and the managers went out of their way to make customers happy. The campground was close to everything. We will definitely go back again.
